Places like this make me wonder why anyone would pay the ridiculous prices of the Novotel at Suvarnabhumi. The pickup service was prompt and friendly, the hotel was clean and tidy. Minibar items were very reasonably priced and the fridge was cold. TV and AirCon worked great, with lots of satellite channels. They even upgraded me to the next size room for free! Return shuttle to the airport in the morning was just a prompt and friendly. I ll never pay for the Novotel again knowing I can stay in comfort and at great value at the Floral Shire.I wouldnt really recommend this hotel for holiday though. It s located on the outskirts of the city. The rooms are very well appointed, for the $25 you pay. linens were clean, bed was comfortable, furniture in great condition, etc. but its not the four seasons. I think this should be obvious, but as someone who reads online reviews a lot, I think people have unreal expectations at some of these purpose built places. Floral Shire is a great facility, with good friendly staff, and is a perfect alternative to paying the exhorbitant prices of the Novotel at Suvarnabhumi or sleeping in the terminal. Service was great, rooms were very adequate for the cost and overall we were very happy. Taxi was ordered for us to return to airport as we didnt fit in their car.
